Johanna Irland-Cormier:

Goes by Jo and grew up in rural Maine. Growing up, Jo enjoyed dancing, playing sports, and music. She went to the Berklee College of Music for Vocal Performance and still enjoys singing today. She has been in fitness for over 7 years and has worked at multiple YMCAs coaching clients in the YMCA Diabetes Prevention Program, LIVESTRONG at the YMCA Cancer Survivor Program, and was a strength and conditioning coach for a nationally competitive swim team. After working for the YMCA, Jo also worked as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor at an all women's gym, primarily with weight loss clients. Last year, Jo became a Crossfit Coach before moving to Cary with her husband. Jo's certifications include: TRX Suspension Training for Sports Medicine, USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach, CrossFit Level 1 Trainer, Trigger Point Therapy,                                                                                                                                   and Acumobility. Jo enjoys competing and participated in three                                                                                                                                            CrossFit competitions over the last couple of years. She also loves                                                                                                                                    coaching athletes to excel in competition.


Brandon Lewis:

Brandon is Virginia native with 4 years of personal training experience. He is a certified Exercise Physiologist through ACSM along with having a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Liberty University. Health and fitness has always been an important aspect of his lifestyle. In high school, he was very active playing football and basketball as well as being a cadet in the school’s JROTC program. While in college, Brandon began competing in powerlifting and held the overall bench press record at Liberty all 4 years of his college career with a bench press of 403 lbs (182 kg) at a body weight of 182 lbs (that’s more than double his weight!). He also finished first in the bench press at several local competitions in the Lynchburg/Roanoke area along with 3 state records through the USPA. 


Mark Whittington II:

Mark has spent the last 7 years in the Health & Fitness industry. Throughout his journey in the industry, Mark has had the opportunity to work in different markets with people from the ages of 5 to 81! He has been a personal trainer and performance coach in Greensboro, NC, a Program Director and Head Coach and Nutrition Consultant in Charlotte, NC and Virginia. His passion to push his clients to exceed their goals is undeniable.



Giovanni De Matteis:

Gio first started with Muay Thai Kickboxing about 15 years ago. He later pursued CrossFit as method of getting in shape. He really found his passion in a strength/conditioning approach to fitness after getting certified in kettlebells, first with the World Kettlebell Club and then the Russian Kettlebell Challenge as an RKC Level 2 Instructor. This passion led him to Functional Movement Screen Level 1 & 2 where he learned to better assess mobility/movement.



Tiffani Cox-Kuchyt:

Tiffani has been working as a group training instructor and personal trainer for over ten years. She is an experienced trainer that has helped her clients reach their goals with a variety of physical and mental health conditions including: morbid obesity, Traumatic Brain injury, joint replacements, chronic anxiety/depression, and conditions causing chronic pain. In 2007 she graduated from Shepherd University with a Bachelors degree in Exercise Science, and in 2012 with a Masters from California University of Pennsylvania in Enhanced Athletic Performance and Injury Prevention. Her certifications include the American College of Sports Medicine, National Association of Sports Medicine and the National Association of Speed and Explosion.
